It is widely known that colour can have a large effect on a person’s mood and emotions.
Taubmans, in conjunction with a group of psychologists and neuroscientists from Liminal VR and The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health conducted a study that confirmed this to be true.
The study showed colours such as soft grey-greens and blues provoked a sense of relaxation and has a calming effect. On the other hand, pinks, bright yellows and oranges were proven to make us feel happy and excited.
With the results of this study, Taubmans sponsored an event which encapsulated joy and cheerfulness into a sensory experience for adults. Sugar Republic, an interactive dessert museum touring Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney set up in different locations in each city, used Taubmans Endure to bring this to life. Their colour palette included; beautiful pinks, Raspberry Rush and Pink Chintz and lively yellows and oranges, Japanese Koi and Rocket Launch. To accent these colours, there were hints of vibrant greens and blues; Aqua Chintz and King Triton were used.
How much fun does the installation look!? Amazing use of colour. For more details click here.
