Or simply want to hone in on some of your interior skills? iscd has just announced dates for their Professional Short courses in AutoCAD, Drawing + Documentation, Applied Colour and Rendering + Visual Communications. // AutoCAD

BECOME CONFIDENT WORKING WITH YOUR CLIENTS

 

  • Tuesday 3rd May 
  • 1.30pm – 4.30pm
  • 9 weeks

This AutoCAD course has been tailored for stylists and designers who are looking to up skill and become confident in using AutoCAD when working with clients. You will learn the ins and outs, tips and tricks and skills that will contribute to you delivering a higher level of service.

Over the 10 weeks, you will work on a series of practical exercises that include completing plans to scale from on-site measurements, elevations, sections and details plus learn how to draw detailed kitchen and joinery designs. These practical exercises will be applied to three project briefs that will see you complete the course with excellent practical AutoCAD drawing skills.

// Rendering + Visual Communications

Learn pHOTOSHOP AND INDESIGN TO IMPROVE YOUR PRESENTATION SKILLS

  • 9 weeks

This course has been created for designers, decorators and stylists seeking to improve presentation skills or to show your design ideas in a professional and creative way.

Throughout the course you will explore hand-rendering techniques, as well as digital rendering computer programs, to ensure the professional quality of your design presentations. Over the nine weeks you will work on various exercises to create a comprehensive portfolio which will be a professional reference tool  you can use to show the presentation of your design ideas and solutions.

// Applied Colour

learn how to apply colour to your interior design solutions

  • 9 weeks 

This course has been created for design professional seeking detailed and specific learning on the application of colour in interior design and decoration.

You will complete four briefs that you can use for your professional portfolio to demonstrate the application of colour in interior design projects. Applied Colour is the extended research, analysis and application of colour, finishes and the effects of lighting in interiors. 

Cover various specialist colour topics including tonal manipulation, working with neutrals, paint systems, how to specify and schedule, as well as the effects of colour and light.

// Drawing + Documentation

LEARN THE Technical skills to take your ideas to the next level

 

  • Tuesday 3rd April
  • 10am – 1pm
  • 9 weeks

The course instructs all aspects of architectural drawing communication in response to briefs, and includes orthographic and perspective drawing techniques. It will show you how to take design concepts and ideas to industry presentation standards through drawing packages, and what you will be expected to produce as a designer or decorator.

Through a range of exercises and briefs you will learn the standards for technical drawing conventions and how to collate your information in one reference document to communicate with other design associates and your clients.

This course will equip you with the methods to hand draft your drawings, which can then be translated into computer-aided drawings through AutoCAD.
