What has really inspired me for all these years in the Interior Decorating and Styling field, is the social aspect of spaces. I am forever curious and intrigued by the dreams of individuals and the spaces that will fulfil those dreams.

Teaching at iscd, in this creative industry is such a rewarding experience. It’s amazing to see students who are renewing their creativity or who are discovering it for the first time, grow and develop into their own style and dreams. Not only can I share my knowledge with them, I can continually see the world through fresh eyes.

With an extensive background in Retail Interior decorating and Styling, I also had the opportunity to work for a many years Internationally. During this time, I was always photographing and drawing patterns in nature and the Urban world. Whilst in Scandinavia and Europe I developed a love for textiles, not only the patterns, but also the extent that they were used in daily life. That’s when I decided I needed to put my prints onto textiles.

When coming back home to Sydney, all those years ago, I decided to reignite my creativity and take myself on a new journey. After studying Cert IV Design at iscd, I went on to complete the Surface Design Diploma. Both of which helped me link my designs to my printing skills and creating quality Textiles, which I still love doing today.

Being at iscd as an educator is great for me to be hands on with the students and see directly what inspires them.
