Lisa Dingelmaier

From an early age I’ve always been interested in art and design. After finishing my art degree in Austria, I moved to London to study illustration and visual media which sparked my passion to become an interior designer.

I chose to study with iscd for it’s unique approach to teaching design and understanding the power of colour. Studying with iscd was such a great experience, being in a creative environment, working on real life client briefs and being connected with industry experts was so stimulating and opened up a world of possibilities.

I entered a competition for a scholarship at iscd, where Greg Natale was one of the judges. Happily, I was awarded a partial scholarship and with that came three one-on-one mentoring sessions with Greg. I now work as an Interior Designer at Greg Natale Design in Sydney.  A typical day for me usually involves a quick morning coffee followed by a WIP with Greg to go over current projects. I love the early stages of a new project, seeing the concept coming together and collecting different materials. We work with a lot of suppliers and clients from overseas. Taking a client’s brief and seeing how Greg brings that to life is incredible.

If you’re thinking about studying interior design… work hard, stay positive, dream big and don’t let anyone tell you differently!
