Designer Rugs

"Industry shouldn't only take but also give back." Yosi Tal, Managing Director, Designer Rugs.

One of the many ways Designer Rugs gives back is by supporting a number of education institutions in running rug design competitions which enable students to be involved with industry, to respond to a real brief and in some cases actually have their design produced. We have chosen to be involved with iscd because of their quality of education, and because we value their expertise and commitment to the world of colour and design.

Aaron Upholstry

"When I was approached by the iscd some 7 years ago I was honored and thrilled that they had asked me to speak at the school. From my perspective, I could see firsthand that the training received is of a superior standard, both designers were confident, knowledgeable and direct in their approach, which makes a trades persons job a lot easier from the start. Being in the industry for more than 30 years, my brief was to talk to new students, from a tradespersons perspective in relation to the Upholstery Trade, which includes our basic terminology and procedures usage of fabrics & cushioning.I really enjoy my incursions to the school each year, not only for the professionalism of the staff, the atmosphere, but also the quality of students that choose the iscd.  iscd is the obvious choice, for the person serious about making a career in design.  I look forward to continuing my relationship with the school for many years to come so hopefully will see you there someday".
