International School of Colour + Design

There are hundreds of students that have studied at iscd and are happy to share some of their experiences with us. We work individually with each student to ensure the whole journey is a happy and fruitful one. Here are what some of our students have had to say about studying with us.

Jesica Pieper

"I joined iscd looking to find a career in the creative industry. Texture and Pen Work were my favourite subjects in the Foundations Course, and I am very grateful to have won 1st place for the Fred Hoskings Christmas card design brief! Wanting to learn more, I am now completing the Surface Design diploma. I feel iscd gives me the confidence I needs to go professional!"

"I came to Australia having already been involved in creative projects, though I wanted to gain further skills and access into Australia's design community. iscd has helped me immensely. I even sold three abstract photographs in the school's 'Think Pink' Exhibition. It was an amazing experience to be involved within an exhibition that showcased our talent as students and at the same time raising funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, iscd's chosen charity. I am hoping to continue studying with iscd, and am looking forward to completing both the Surface Design and Visual Arts Diplomas."

"From a corporate background, I decided to join iscd to satisfy my long suppressed creative urges! I wanted to gain a sound understanding of design and colour that would lead to a potential career move. After studying the Foundation Course - Certificate IV in Design I moved into the Interior Styling Diploma. In the future I would love to combine the knowledge I gained here at iscd with that of my advertising past and put it towards magazine editing for home and lifestyles."

Stella Aguila

"I came to iscd on a whim! I had wanted to do something with interiors since I was a young girl. I remember telling my mum that I wanted to become an interior designer and being told I needed to look for a serious career! I started out in teaching but now feel like at iscd I am at home working with my passion. After completing the Foundation Course - Certificate IV in Design accelerated over six months, taking up a Dual Diploma of Colour Design and Interior Styling, I was able to get a certification and dual diploma within 18 months! I am now working with international design companies all through Australasia!"

Stephanie Gambi

"I graduated from the Dual Diploma of Colour Design and Interior Styling. After majoring in Italian and Physiology in High School I was looking to pursue a creative career in design. Being a part of the St.Art Foundation Course - Certificate IV in Design really helped me to settle into tertiary study with other recent school-leaver class mates at the same stage of life. iscd was the only place I could find that offered design experience without asking to already have experience. Other education institutes and private colleges required students young and mature to already have a portfolio and background knowledge. Talk about a catch 22! With iscd I was able to learn invaluable skills and create a portfolio that I still use to this day."

Sandra Dorney

"I can't believe within less than a year of study i have already launched two jewellery ranges. My creations were developed out of a Natural Object Design I completed as part of foundation course. After doing the assessment, i approached my friend who works in the jewellery industry and he put them into production. So inspired i have started up my own company, Sandra Dorney Designs. My creative journey began at iscd in the 4 week Styling With Colour short course, followed by the foundation course, and now currently working towards completing the Colour Diploma. I look forward to seeing where this new found knowledge and skill will take me next!"
