ISCD HITS SINGAPORE FOR POP UP CAMPUS PROGRAM
The iscd team hit Singapore last week to hold its inaugural Pop Up Campus event. Lucky Singapore residents participated in a number of short course and workshops including Colour 101, Interior Styling, iSTYLE Colour and a Certificate IV Introduction program. What a week! We were inspired by the stunning architecture in Singapore, the eagerness of our participants and the amazing talent that was unveiled.
The event was held in a gallery space at The Goodman Arts Centre. Some quick thinking, creative sourcing and styling was required to dress the space. With special thanks to the team at Rapee for kindly providing beautiful soft furnishings to brighten the space.
There was a mix of locals, expats and existing iscd students in the mix, with a great atmosphere and some amazing results from each course.
Our students learnt about mixing colour, elements and principles of design, the colour wheel and creating mood boards.
This was our biggest group. The workshop was jam packed with useful information on creating great interior layouts, and establishing your personal style. Mood boards were created with a wide array of styles and preferences. The final exercise involved styling for photography and creating vignettes. We went into an instagramming frenzy and some of the results can be seen on our instagram page@iscdeducation as well as #iscdsingapore.
A one day iSTYLE Colour course was our third workshop. A change of pace and the benefit of working our way through a beautiful journal which we learnt how to establish mood, style and colour in our homes. All of our students were then challenged with finishing their journals in the following weeks . We cant wait to see the results.
Certificate IV Introduction class.
A keen group of students attended our last day where we sampled the Certificate IV course. Most of the participants were eager to start Certificate IV and this gave everyone a great on campus experience of how we teach colour. We learned about optimal colour, and managed to mix and create our secondary colour palettes. We had a very talented group of students and can’t wait to get everyone started onCertificate IVin Design.
We look forward to expanding our student base in Singapore and getting up there to hold more Pop Up Campus classes for our eager new students and existing students. Watch this space for our next Pop Up Campus!
