Anna Marcus worked for many years as an accountant but always had a desire to work in the design industry. In 2009, she summoned up the courage to make a career change to become a professional interior stylist.
After much research, Anna enrolled in the Certificate IV in Design at iscd and then went on to complete a Diploma in Interior Styling. Anna’s studies at iscd helped her to focus her interest in the right direction and give her the confidence to launch her own business. AMazing Interiors. She has gone from strength to strength working on a number of high profile styling and decorating projects.
Anna shares her styling tips on how to recreate the room below, which has been styled by Real Living‘s Sarah Ellison.
- When creating a vignette, group objects by what they have in common – texture, colour, shape….
- The artwork provides a contrasting pop of colour that draws the eye and provides a focal point.
- A plain dark sofa provides the perfect “blank canvas” to add colour through accessories.
- Mix different shapes and patterns but in a uniform colour scheme to create continuity and flow.
