The iscd Business Mentor Program is designed for graduates of any iscd Diploma to guide them from education to application. Intimate meetings are held monthly with the educator Sandra Philpott. Sandra will work with each member of the elective to ensure on completion they are equipped to succeed in the increasingly competitive commercial world of design.
Course Outline:
- Comprehensive assessment of the economic environment and the likely impact on businesses and business owners in the creative world
- Review of design business success case studies to better understand the fundamental elements leading to running a sustainable business
- Research and preparation of a commercial business plan
- Practical tools and processes required to run a successful creative business
- Fully developed frameworks for developing a Marketing plan and a Customer database
- Communication and Presentation Skills
- Business Forecasting and Budgeting

Duration
On campus - 10 lessons of 3 hours (held fortnightly). Course commences Tuesday 24 July 2012, 6pm to 9pm.
